Adopting a puppy is an exciting and life-changing decision that brings joy, laughter, and love into your home. At Grace Wood Farm, we take pride in raising happy, healthy Sheepadoodle puppies and connecting them with loving families nationwide. Whether you're a first-time dog owner or a seasoned pet parent, understanding the adoption process can help ensure a smooth and joyful experience.
Here's what you can expect when adopting your new furry family member from Grace Wood Farm:
1. Initial Inquiry and Application
Your adoption journey begins with expressing interest. Once you fall in love with our Sheepadoodles, you'll complete a simple online application on our website. This helps us know your lifestyle and what kind of puppy would best fit your home. We believe matching puppies to the right families is essential for long-term happiness on both ends of the leash!

2. Personalized Communication
After we receive your application, a team member will reach out to discuss your preferences and answer any questions you might have. Whether it's coat type, temperament, size, or timing, we're here to guide you through decision-making.

We're also happy to share more about our breeding program, puppy care routines, and the incredible Sheepadoodle personality that makes them great companions.
3. Placing a Deposit
Once you're ready to move forward, we'll ask you to place a reservation deposit. This secures your spot on the waiting list for an upcoming litter. Our puppies are in high demand, so reserving early helps ensure you'll have the opportunity to bring home a pup that suits your needs.
We'll update your position in the queue and the expected timeline for upcoming litters.
4. Litter Announcements and Puppy Selection
When a litter is born, we'll notify families on the list. We start the puppy selection process at around 5–6 weeks of age. You'll receive photos, videos, and personality notes to help you choose—or we can help match you with a puppy based on your preferences.
This is one of the most exciting parts of the journey!

5. Health, Care, and Preparation
All Grace Wood Farm puppies receive top-quality veterinary care, vaccinations, and socialization during their first 8 weeks. We also begin crate and potty training foundations to ease the transition to your home.
We'll provide a detailed Puppy Prep Guide that includes recommended supplies, feeding schedules, and training tips for preparing for your puppy's arrival.
6. Go-Home Day
At around 8 weeks, it's time for your puppy to go home! You can pick up your puppy in person at one of our Grace Wood Farm locations, or we can coordinate safe, comfortable travel options if you're located farther away.
We'll provide a complete puppy folder with health records, feeding information, and support resources to prepare you for success.

7. Lifelong Support
Our relationship doesn't end when your puppy goes home—we're here for the long haul! You can access our ongoing support, resources, and community as a Grace Wood Farm family. We love updates and are always happy to help with questions as your pup grows.

At Grace Wood Farm, our mission is simple: to raise joyful, well-socialized Sheepadoodles and unite them with families who will cherish them for a lifetime. The adoption process is personal, transparent, and full of heart, just like our dogs.
